What are the Advertisers 070 Numbers
and what are the charges for calling them.
Part of our service to our advertisers is keeping their personal
details safe, in this case your phone number, hidden from other
users of the website.
This is done so that no one can abuse the information held on our
system for other than contacting an advertiser concerning their
advert. We replace an advertisers phone numbers with our own 070
number, which when a user calls, it redirects them to the phone
numbers the advertiser entered while placing their advert.
Q1: How much does the call cost?
A: We place private adverts free of charge, in order to continue to
do so we make a small amount of revenue from the 070 service that we
now offer. This has also been universally welcomed for the privacy
that it now offers our Private advertisers. People calling a
Personal Number from a standard BT home or business phone are
charged at the BT rate of 50 pence per minute (ppm).
Where the callers use an alternative operator to make the call will
be charged at that operator's rate for calls to personal numbering
services.
The cost of calling a Personal Number from a mobile phone varies
depending on the mobile operator the call is being made through.
Callers are encouraged to confirm with their mobile operator the
charge for calling a Personal Number with the prefix 070. Mobile
operators are obliged to make their call charges readily available
to their customers.
* Per second billing applies to calls where the operator used to
make the call supports it *
Q2: If I call a Personal Number will I get charged if no one
answers the phone?
A: Yes, you will get charged as soon as the Horse Exchange message
starts.
Q3: As an Advertiser do I have to pay for the Service.?
A: There are no additional charges for the advertiser. The only
charge is the cost of the phone call by the person dialling the
advertisers number.
Q4: I don’t want a Personal Number on my advert, can it be
removed?
A: No, at 'The Horse Exchange' we place private adverts free of
charge, in order to continue to do so we make a small amount of
revenue from the 070 service that we now offer. This has also been
universally welcomed for the privacy that it now offers our Private
advertisers.
Q5: Will it cost me more if I dial a Personal Number from a
mobile phone?
A: Yes, calling from a Mobile Phone will cost you more than if you
called from a Land Line. The cost of calling from a mobile phone
varies depending on the mobile operator the call is being made
through. Callers are encouraged to confirm with their mobile
operator the charge for calling a Personal Number prefixed 070).
Mobile operators are obliged to make their call charges readily
available to their customers.
